2023 legislative session a success for Chamber priorities

Following months of debate on hundreds of bills, the Oklahoma Legislature adjourned sine die May 26. Despite the disagreements between the House, Senate and governor on major education reform, officials with the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber said the session was highly successful with respect to accomplishing the Chamber’s legislative priorities.

OKC Housing Authority selected to operate MAPS 4 Homelessness Project

Last month, the Oklahoma City Council approved the Oklahoma City Housing Authority (OCHA) as the operating partner for the MAPS 4 Homelessness Project. As the operating partner, OCHA will work closely with other partners for the project to find affordable housing and other services for the homeless and low-income families in OKC.

I thought there was a huge opportunity here, especially with MAPS 3 starting to take shape. I saw Oklahoma City as a sandbox of opportunity. That compelled me to really make a choice to stay here and build something like this.
