Rand Elliott Architects illuminates Oklahoma City through design

Downtown’s Oklahoma Contemporary continues its collection of accolades, most recently awarded a top architectural honor for the façade of its campus centerpiece “Folding Light.” The Honor Award of Excellence in Craft was awarded to Chamber member Rand Elliott Architects by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Central Oklahoma in celebration of the firm’s feat. This acknowledgment marks the 19th award given to Rand Elliott Architects for the firm’s design of the Oklahoma City landmark.

According to CVB President Zac Craig, from January through June 2021, only about 3,000 visitors attended events at the convention center, a far cry from the approximately 180,000 visitors the convention center saw for the entire 2022 fiscal year.

Outlook for holiday shopping season looks positive, officials say

As of this writing, there are about 50 shopping days left until Christmas, and for some retailers, that period can sometimes mean the difference between staying open or closing for good since a majority of their yearly sales come during the holidays. But if Oklahoma City’s sales tax collections are any indication, 2021 could end up being the gift that just keeps on giving for Oklahoma City retailers, both large and small.
