If you’ve recently moved to OKC from a state like California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire (or as it turns out, really anywhere else), you’ve likely noticed a pleasant surprise insofar as what’s (not) in your electric bill. That’s right, smaller numbers behind those dollar signs! Recently, the S&P Global Market report Regulated Retail Price of Energy recognized that OKC’s OG&E offered the lowest residential cost of electricity in the country among investor-owned utilities in 2018. Less money spent on utilities and housing translates to—you guessed it—more money for fun stuff. It’s just another example of why we say in OKC, it’s a better living and a better life.
